“Tour of the Universe” will be featured on Friday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. to be followed by “Laser iPop” at 7:30 p.m. and “Laser Country” at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, planetarium shows will include the Sesame Street program “One World, One Sky” at 1 p.m.; the new live program “Night Sky over Morehead” at 2:15 p.m.; and “Tour of the Universe” at 3:30 p.m.
The public also is invited to join MSU’s faculty and staff in the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, along with astronomy students from Rowan County Senior High and Middle schools for “International Observe the Moon Night” at the MSU Space Science Center Saturday, Sept. 22, from 7-10:30 p.m.
“International Observe the Moon Night” 2012 is the third internationally-coordinated annual public outreach event dedicated to engaging the general public in an annual lunar observation campaign that shares the excitement of lunar science and exploration.
Selected laser music shows can contain unedited language.
Planetarium Programs:
• $2-Adults
• $1-Students and senior citizens (60-plus)
• Free-four and under (must sit in parent/guardian lap)
Laser Programs:
• $5-Adults
• $4-Students and senior citizens (60-plus)
• Free-four and under (must sit in parent/guardian lap)
Seating is limited to 90 per program and tickets (cash only) for all shows are available at the door. No advance tickets or reservations are available.
