Sept. 14, 2012 —

A Morehead State University student has been found after an early morning search.

After spending almost three hours looking for him, search crews found the student unharmed.

Rowan County Emergency Management officials said they found the 20-year-old in a ravine just after 4 a.m. Friday.

Officials said they got a call at 1:15 a.m. that a student went into the woods near Eagle Lake before dark to go for a walk and could not be located.

The man called his roommate at 12:30 a.m. to say he was lost. He told his roommate he had no flashlight, only his cell phone.

Emergency crews dispatched two boats in the water to search the lake and four ground teams. Boat teams didn't find anything in Eagle Lake so they joined the ground search.

The student was found on the west side of the lake search about a mile away after yelling at search crews who called his name.
