Tyndall may be leaving MSU

April 27, 2012 — A national news organization reported Friday that Morehead State University Men’s Head Basketball Coach Donnie Tyndall has been offered the same post at the University of Southern Mississippi.

CBSSports.com said that Tyndall, who has led MSU to a pair of NCAA tournaments in the past three seasons, would make a decision within 24 hours.

Tyndall reportedly met with USM officials on Monday in New Orleans. He was not available for comment on Friday.

Tyndall has compiled a record of 114-84 in six seasons with the Eagles.

USM, a member of Conference USA, has been looking for a new coach since Larry Eustachy left earlier this month to become head coach at Colorado State.
