The Morehead State Softball Eagles won their morning contest at the OVC Tournament over Eastern Illinois, 6-4. But MSU’s ladies fell 1-0 in their afternoon match up with second-seeded Southeast Missouri. The Eagles closed their season with a 5-0 loss to fourth-seeded UT Martin Friday morning.
The Lady Vikings suffered twin losses to Greenup County at home, 9-7 and 12-8. The defeat drops Rowan’s gals into the 16th Region’s third seat with a record standing at 17-13.
The Vikings fell to Paintsville, 14-6. Rowan’s boys head to the Frank Bloom Invitational this weekend. The boys in green will face hosting team Russell tonight at 8 p.m.
