Former residents send thanks

The editor:

In 1957 Don and Carolyn Flatt journeyed to Morehead for two years of additional education. These two years turned into 52 before their recent move to Parkersburg, W.Va. This decision to move was made because of the need for additional family support in caring for Carolyn in her 11-year battle with multiple myeloma. This half-century of living in such a progressive town created so many fond memories. Thank you for your friendship, prayers, and assistance. We are now settled in a retirement community, and doing reasonably well. We think of you daily with love and gratitude for fond memories of our time with you—the town, Morehead State University, and Lakeview Heights, our home for 33 years.
