On behalf of the Department for Justice and Public Safety Division of Mental Health and our Commissioner LaDonna Thompson I would like to extend our appreciation for the fair and equitable representation Nicole Back presented in her articles regarding the Sex Offender Treatment Program.
Her articles were very informative and demonstrated an accurate depiction of the work done by our agency. Back’s willingness to assist in the enhancement of the community’s knowledge about this vital work demonstrated a proactive approach to promoting community safety and the protection of the more vulnerable people in our community, primarily but not limited to our children.
We are grateful for any publicity that is, as Back’s was, educational and informative. Promotion of child abuse prevention and the reduction of sexual abuse is our primary mission statement. She has served a valuable role in this endeavor. We thank her for her time and effort in these articles. She demonstrated professionalism and maturity in her handling of such sensitive matters.
