Fouch family thanks coach publicly for a great season

As parents of a student athlete under Coach Wright’s watchful eye both in cross-country and track, we feel our son has received not only guidance in athletics but life as well. We have been involved with Coach Wright and his wife Jill since our son began running in the 4th grade. There have been many highs and lows in our sons running career but Coach Wright has ALWAYS been there to support and encourage and build self-esteem not only in our son but other athletes as well.

We were fortunate this past weekend to go and watch these talented athletes participate in the state track meet held in Louisville. There were over 40 teams in the event and Rowan finished 11th. We were so proud of each and everyone of the kids. So much excitement and so much joy from the parents and the team but also from Coach Wright. During this meet it was announced that Rowan County still has 2 state records that have not been broken. Sam Mincey in the 300 hurdles and Mike Wilson in the 3200 meter run. Quite an accomplishment!

We know that Coach Wright with his style of coaching will continue to develop quality young people in all areas. Rowan County is very fortunate to have him as a Coach and Athletic Director.

Thanks for a great "Run"!
