Relay success
The editor:
Family Dollar Services KY Distribution Center would like to thank all our Team Members for their countless hours of contribution & their monetary donations to the Relay for Life "One Team One Goal". Back in July of 2008 we decided to form the KYDC's 1st Relay for Life Team and we set 2 goals for our team.
(1) to fundraise $5,000
(2) to have at least one walker on the track for every minute of the Relay for Life event
We are excited to announce that we surpassed our initial fundraising goal of $5,000 with over $10,000 deposited in our account YT!!
We also had at least one Team Member walking on the track (at all times) during the Relay for Life event held on Saturday June 20th (1pm-7am)!
These goals were only accomplished thru a true "One Team One Goal" TEAM effort. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to this great cause.

Appreciation for SEAL’s return

Thursday morning August the nineteenth the main television news was about a baseball pitcher named Roger Clement that lied to Congress about taking steroids. For this he was going to get jail time.

Dog pound thanks pet groomers
In this day and age with the hustle and bustle, and everyone busy with their own problems and concerns, it is really wonderful to run across somebody who gives of their time and talents for the homeless animals.

Thanks for helping after accident
I was involved in a one-car accident on Cranston Road on June 23. After flipping and rolling my car, my first image and audio was a man asking me if I was OK. I later learned he was “Mr. Stacey,” whose parents ran Stacey Grocery for so many years on Cranston Road.

Area has many existing attractions
Visions of a Rails for Trails through our community, surrounding areas and parts of Appalachia seem as a splendid idea. However, thoughts of the hiccups and obstacles that have submerged for many years exhaust me.
