Thanks to those who display Christian messages

The editor:

Under most circumstances I normally wouldn’t write a letter to the newspaper, I’m not an outwardly vocal or opinionated person when it comes to personal beliefs, except for one belief that I have no issues professing publicly, my love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I was disheartened and saddened to hear of a local business owner’s recent issue with a patron. Someone (who needs our prayers for salvation) took it upon them self to deface our local Arby’s, displacing the Ten Commandments that were a proudly displayed profession of faith in Christ by our local business owner. If this lost soul had only taken the time to read the Ten Commandments before taking them off the wall.

I want to thank our local Arby’s franchise owner for outwardly professing faith in Christ publicly, not only with the display of the Ten Commandments, but also with the illuminated sign out front reading “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”.

Thank you, as well, to all other business owners in the community who proudly display Christian messages on your billboards and in your places of business.

I ask each Christian in this community to pray for salvation of the lost soul who displaced the Ten Commandments from Arby’s, and to pray for all the lost souls in our community, as Jesus Christ “Paid in Full” for all our sins so that we all may not perish.

I encourage each of you to log on to Arby’s.com and pledge your support for our local franchise owner who is currently being scrutinized for publicly displaying faith in Christ.

We need more in our community willing to stand up and be Christian soldiers.
