Still people who care

The editor:

It is so wonderful that there are honest people here in Morehead especially at Christmas time.

My wife and I went to Wal-Mart and bought our 14-year-old daughter a new cell phone for Christmas and what really makes this so special is that I had just recently lost my job, but we were determined to get this for her.

So we went and got it and paid for it and they activated the phone and put it back in the box with the receipt so we could give it to her for Christmas and also bought other items while we where there.

Later that night this really nice lady called the house from Wal-Mart and asked me if I had been there and bought a cell phone and I said yes and then she said, do you know where the phone is? And by the way she said that I just knew what she was going to say. We had left the phone in the bag and I guess in the buggy as we loaded up our other stuff and headed home.

Who ever found this phone could have easily used it for themselves but choose to turn it into the lost and found and that's when the nice lady from Wal-Mart called us. So we went the next day to get the phone and everything was still just the way we had it, receipt and all.

We do not know who the person was that found it but would like to THANK YOU VERY MUCH for turning the phone in. This just goes to show you that some people still care in Rowan County. Once again thank you who ever you are and Wal-Mart for getting the phone back to us. Merry Christmas!
