The editor:
On behalf of the entire Thomas and Trent families, we would like to express our deepest appreciation for the outpouring of love and respect shown on behalf of our son, Chief, Special Warfare Operator, Collin Trent Thomas, SEAL, USN.
Every facet of Collin’s memorial and interment, including the reception at the Morehead/Rowan County Airport, transfer to Northcutt’s, Morehead State University Athletic-Academic Center and the final interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery was conducted with honor, dignity and respect. Collin’s fellow Special Warfare Operators expressed to us their admiration at the outpouring of respect shown to their fallen brother. The friends and citizen turnout was more than our family could have imagined. The support and respect given to our families by every organization and the general public who stopped their cars, crossed your hearts and said silent prayers strengthened our family’s resolve to carry on and helped us cope with our loss.
