Aug. 10, 2012 — The Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce can do a better job each year of welcoming Morehead State University’s incoming freshmen, according to Tracy Williams, chamber executive director.
“We’ve needed to show our appreciation and excitement that Morehead State’s back in session and we are happy that the students and parents have chosen MSU,” Williams said.
For the first time, about 30 Chamber members have signed up to greet students and parents on move-in day next Friday. They will distribute information on how to contact the Chamber.
“If they have any questions about the community or events, they can call or e-mail us,” Williams said. “Morehead State takes great care of these kids and we are just another resource for them.”
Chamber volunteers also will be at the Rowan Campus of Maysville Community and Technical College.
