A U.S. Navy honor guard carried the remains of SOC Collin T. Thomas from a chartered aircraft that landed Friday at the Clyde A. Thomas Regional Airport.
The Navy SEAL was buried Saturday with full military honors following services at MSU's Academic-Athletic Center.
Chief Thomas was killed in action Aug. 18 in Afghanistan. A native of Morehead, he was a 1995 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School.
The 13-year Navy veteran had received multiple awards of the Bronze Star Medal for heroism under fire.
