Oct. 30, 2012 — A Rowan County grand jury has indicted a man for the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile female.
Randy L. Ramey, 52, was indicted Oct. 19 for first-degree sexual abuse when he allegedly subjected another to sexual contact who was incapable of consent because she is less than 12 years old.
Also indicted were:
• Dudley J. Perry, 53, for second-degree burglary when he allegedly stole $15,000 in gold jewelry from the home of Bona Patel between May 1 and June 6.
• Carlos R. Aguila, 33, for theft by unlawful taking when he allegedly took a 1989 Jaguar XSJ belonging to Robert Kelly between Aug. 3 and 4.
• Brandon L. Ferrell, 27, for theft by failure to make required disposition when he allegedly failed to transfer a vehicle purchased by Rita Williams on June 23.
• Joseph L. Walls, 21, for allegedly receiving $3,295 in food stamp benefits to which he was not entitled from June 2011 through April 2012.
• James Marty Horton, 54, for three counts trafficking in a controlled substance when he allegedly trafficked in 79.5 oxycodone, 22 Suboxone and 64 Alprazolam on Aug. 13.
• Caroline Horton, 48, for three counts trafficking in a controlled substance when she allegedly trafficked in 79.5 oxycodone, 22 Suboxone and 64 Alprazolam on Aug. 13.
• Phillip Z. Zornes, 22, and Ashley L. Dailey, 23, for criminal possession of a forged instrument when they allegedly forged $296.93 in checks drawn on the account of the late Roy Buckler Jr. on May 12.
• Carolyn Sue Hamm, 49, for unemployment insurance fraud when she allegedly while employed by Cumberland Medical Services received $6,366 in benefits she was not entitled to and with interest and lien fees for a total of $8,562.27 from Jan. 6, 2007 through June 30, 2007.
• Kathy Jo Fultz, 22, for theft by unlawful taking when she allegedly took a $6,000 gold ring and bracelet from Caskey's Pawn on Aug. 27.
• Crystal Dawn Bowling, 38, and Jeremy Ray Bowling, 37, for theft by unlawful taking when they allegedly took $5,685 in appliances, tools, metal duct work and wiring from rental property owned by Walden L. Stone on July 26.
They also were indicted for criminal mischief when they allegedly damaged rental property and stole components from an outside air conditioning unit, ductwork, wiring and service connections.
• Tammy S. Adams, also known as Tammy S. Wallace, 39, when she allegedly was in possession of a $3,899 ring stolen from Caskey's Jewelry on Aug. 27.
Adams also was indicted for driving on a suspended license.
• Ronnie G. Cole Jr., 27, for theft by unlawful taking and 19 counts receiving stolen property when he allegedly had 20 vehicles in his possession belonging to someone else from Aug. 10 through Sept. 10.
• Eric D. Maher, 31, for criminal conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance when he allegedly conspired to traffic in 50 oxycodone pills while in possession of a handgun on Aug. 21.
• Andrew Scott King, 32, for criminal conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance when he allegedly conspired to traffic in 50 oxycodone pills while in possession of a handgun on Aug. 21.
• Kevin Smedley, 41, for criminal conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance when he allegedly conspired to traffic in 50 oxycodone pills on Aug. 21.
• James R. Ruth Jr., 31, for criminal conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance when he allegedly conspired to traffic in 50 oxycodone pills on Aug. 21.
• Robert W. Hatfield, 31, for receiving stolen property when he allegedly was in possession of $2,370 in tools belonging to Scott Tudor, Robert Conn and Darold Bailey from Sept. 7-17.
The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
