A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:50 p.m. on KY 519 Thursday. A red Mitsubishi raider pickup truck was traveling south on KY 519 when a black four-door Saturn twin cab pulled out of Dry Creek Road causing the two vehicles to collide, according to police. Police said the driver of the Mitsubishi, Hurl Bates of West Liberty, lost control, hit a cement bridge railing and overturned at the mouth of McBrayer Road. Bates was transported to St. Claire. Christina Crank, 20, and Jennifer Withrow, 39, both of Morehead, also went to St. Claire. Conditions of the occupants of both vehicles were not known at press time. Agencies responding to the accident were Morehead Fire and Rescue, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and Rowan County EMS. The accident remains under investigation by Tim Gibbs.
