A 29-year-old Clearfield man sits in jail facing drug charges after he was allegedly discovered Saturday passed out in his vehicle at the city park.

Eric Perkins is on a $1,500 full-cash bond following a call made about 12:15 p.m. to police concerning a man who was observed sleeping in a car parked at Don Greenhill City Park, said Morehead Police Chief Mike Adams.

“Upon arrival Patrolman Patrick Smith found Perkins apparently passed out with the engine running,” Adams commented Monday.

Perkins is charged with public intoxication, excludes alcohol, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense and third-degree possession of a controlled prescription, first offense.

The incident remains under investigation by Smith.
