The driver of a blue 2002 Saturn 4-door car was injured after hydroplaning into a ditch on US 60 West, according to Morehead Police Officer James Sergent.
Morehead City Police received a call about the accident on Brady Curve near the Kingdom Hall Wednesday at 1:32 p.m.
Jay McCormick II, 19, of Morehead, was traveling west on US 60 when he hydroplaned. He went into the ditch and then flipped his car over onto its top. McCormick cut himself as he was getting out of the car, Sergent said.
Morehead-Rowan County EMS and the Morehead Fire Department responded to the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by Sergent.
