Driver slams into Pig Out

A driver tried to avoid a crash at 11 a.m. on Wednesday but smashed into the Pig Out BBQ restaurant located on KY 801 south near US 60.

Jason Foreman of Ohio swerved to avoid an accident that occurred at KY 801 near US 60, according to police.

Amanda Mullins was attempting to pull into Pig Out BBQ to report for work when Zack Maloney in a Chevy pickup struck the rear of Mullins’ vehicle. Foreman came upon the scene and tried to avoid the accident by swerving his truck away from the direction of the accident and plowed into the restaurant.

There were only a few people inside the restaurant at the time. Nobody in the restaurant was hurt from the crash. Mullins and Foreman were transported by EMS to St. Claire Regional Medical Center but were later reported as having no serious injuries. Maloney’s condition was unknown at press time.

The Kentucky State Police, Farmer’s Fire Department, Morehead Fire Department and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident.
