A criminal investigation into drug trafficking in Lewis County landed 32 suspects behind bars this past week on 48 separate charges.

Lewis County Sheriff Bill Lewis made the announcement Friday concerning the 32 people charged with allegedly fronting money for the drugs obtained in Fort Lauderdale and then brought back to the area to be sold.

Among those arrested were:

Jeffrey Ginn – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Vickie Highfield – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree tampering with physical evidence.

• Barbara Jordan – three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Thomas Jordan – one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• William Jordan Jr. – three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Lori Polley – one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Zachary Stevenson – one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender.

• Lisa Wallace – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

• Steve W. Clark Jr. – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Bobby Clark – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Sid Witten – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Ron Claxon – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Deborah Edington – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Michael “Floyd” Hobbs – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• William “Big Bill” Bloomfield – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Pamela Hobbs – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Randall Frazee – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• David Boggs – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Brian “Red” Bonner – one count of first-degree complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Melissa Stone – one count of first-degree complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Michael Gibson – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Danny Patton – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Nakala Bloomfield – one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender.

• Dennis Wade Thurman – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Eric Taylor – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school and trafficking marijuana within 1,000 yards of a school

• Kennedale Hedge – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school.

• Randy Lykins – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Gary Taylor – one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Timothy W. Evans – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Billy J. Fraley – one count first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Earnest K. Howard – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Julie Reis – one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Also arrested in connection to the investigation was Steven Clark Sr. of Garrison who was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening and resisting arrest.

The arrests were made possible through the legal advice and direction from Lewis County Attorney Clayton Lykins Jr., Commonwealth Attorney Clifford Duvall and Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Thomas Bertram.

Sheriff Lewis stated in a recent press release that he is proud of the hard work made by his deputies who volunteered their time during the investigation.

Lewis and other local agencies vow to continue aggressive enforcement actions against illegal drug trafficking. Anyone with information regarding drug trafficking is asked to call the police.
