Man arrested after bicycle and car collide
A 21-year-old man was sited for alcohol intoxication after being hit by a car while riding a bicycle along KY 32.
William D. Goodwin was charged with alcohol intoxication after colliding his bike into a vehicle Saturday at 9:25 p.m., said Chief Mike Adams with the Morehead Police Department. The accident took place in the vicinity of McDonald’s and the Shell station.
“He combated with the EMS personnel when they arrived on the scene,” Adams commented. “He had been allegedly drinking a lot so we took him into custody and then took him to St. Claire Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.”
Adams said Goodwin was admitted to the hospital for treatment but police are not sure of his present condition.
The incident remains under investigation by Patrolman Derek Howard.
