Early Sunday morning Grayson Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Smith Branch in Carter County. Clear Creek Hardwood was a total loss to owners Dennis Adkins of Grayson and his two business partners Wendell McClurg and John Huber of Morehead. Hitchins, Olive Hill and Norton-Branch Fire Departments fought the blaze side by side Grayson as flames engulfed the structure. The fire is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
