June 8, 2012 — Larry D. Flannery, 43, of Morehead, was arrested Tuesday at his residence on 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Following a lengthy online undercover investigation, Kentucky State Police Internet Crimes Division Detective Josh Lawson obtained enough evidence to secure a search warrant for computer files served at 350 Starlight Lane.
According to the KSP citation, evidence of and files of child sexual exploitation were found on Flannery’s computer and storage devices.
KSP reported that Flannery advised them that he had seen files of child pornography on his computer and never deleted them.
The citation reported that these files had been moved to a storage device and that Flannery had created an organized file structure to store sexual images of minors.
Several hundred files of child sexual exploitation were found within the file structure.
Flannery was arrested and released from the Rowan County Detention Center after a $10,000 cash bond was posted.
It has not been determined whether federal charges will be forthcoming.
Flannery is scheduled for arraignment June 25.
