Montgomery man found guilty of sodomy

A Montgomery County jury has found a Jeffersonville man guilty of sodomy, sentencing him to a total of 50 years in prison.

Michael Dunn, 40, was found guilty of five counts of first-degree sodomy. The jury recommended that Dunn serve 10 years on each count to run consecutively for a total of 50 years.

Dunn was originally indicted on seven counts of sodomy. The victim, who was 13 and 14 at the time of the crimes, testified at the trial.

Retired Kentucky State Police Trooper Sam Hunt initiated the investigation in 2008, according to the KSP. Detective Larry Bowling with the KSP Morehead assisted with the investigation.
