David L. Clark, 51, of Big Perry Road, was arrested Wednesday after the Rowan County Sheriff’s office received a sexual abuse complaint.
Clark is listed as a 20-year registrant on the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry for previously sexually abusing a four-year-old.
Deputy Donnie Hall responded to the Big Perry address, making contact with the alleged seven-year-old victim and her parents, who said their daughter had been sexually assaulted by Clark.
The victim was taken to St. Claire Regional Medical Center for an exam and an interview was conducted with the child at the Gateway Child Advocacy Center.
The case remains under investigation by Hall.
Clark is being held on a $50,000 full cash bond at the Rowan County Detention Center.
