A Morehead man was cited for driving under the influence after being involved in a one-vehicle accident last Friday afternoon, according to police.
Kentucky State Police said Brent Salyers of Morehead was traveling eastbound on U.S. 60 when he lost control of his vehicle, which struck a culvert and went airborne, ejecting Salyers.
He was charged with DUI, no insurance and no seatbelt, according to police.
Salyers was transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center by Morehead-Rowan County EMS for injuries to his chest and hip. He was treated and released.
KSP, Morehead Fire Department and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement were at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Jay Pigman.
