Clearfield death investigation

Rowan County Coroner John P. Northcutt and Kentucky State Police Detective Toby Gardner are investigating the death of a 44-year-old Clearfield man.

Billy J. Adams of McBrayer Road, was found not breathing in the bedroom of his residence by a friend around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, Northcutt said.

Northcutt pronounced Adams dead at 6:58 a.m. An autopsy was conducted Friday at the State Medical Examiners office in Frankfort by Dr. Christin Rolf. The cause of death is pending toxicology results. Foul play is not suspected.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling.
