Few details on high school suspensions

Oct. 6, 2012 —       The Morehead News is investigating the suspension of several high school students for allegedly having inappropriate photos on their cell phones.

About a dozen students were suspended Friday. Reports initially said as many as 119 students were suspended but a high school official said that number was extremely “out of proportion.”

The suspensions also reportedly involve several athletes who will be suspended from upcoming games.

No charges have been filed but a criminal investigation is under way to determine if any laws were broken.

The Morehead News will report more details as they become available.
