Aug. 14, 2012 — The Rowan County Fair will have more to offer this year, according to organizer Mike Adkins.
A truck pull is scheduled for Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.
“Saturday night the Kentucky Truck Tuggers is quite a bit better than last year because it’s a sanctioned outfit that comes in and runs three different classes and they run for points,” he said. “If you look them up online it’ll show you the fairs they do and a lot of pictures of where they are pulling.”
“The Truck Tuggers’ motto is: “You bring it, we will hook it!” according to Adkins.
The fair runs Aug. 21-25 at Jaycee Farm, located at US 60 East of Morehead.
Adkins said there would be three bands performing this year.
On Friday, Aug. 24 Chris Caskey will open the stage at 7 p.m.
At 8 p.m. Kentucky Blue, a Keith Whitley Tribute Band, will begin playing. The band will feature Chris Caskey. Dustin Burchett and Southern Grounds will begin performing at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Adkins said there are videos of the bands at www.rowanfair.org.
Nothing has changed about the beauty pageant finals, Adkins said.
