GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former Morehead State men’s golfer Josh Teater finished tied for 18th at the PGA Tour Event Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Teater shot a 14-under par 266 (66-68-67-65).
For the second week in a row, Teater finished in the top 20. Teater pulled in $55,947 for firing 17 birdies and 52 pars in the four-round tournament. His final round 5-under 65 was his best round for the weekend. He was tied-for-8th in greens in regulation at 84.7 percent.
Teater is currently in 88th place in the Fed-Ex regular season standings. He has played in 25 events thus far and has finished in the top 10 twice and the top 25 seven times. The 2010 PGA Tour Playoffs for the Fed-Ex Cup start next week. The top 125 tour players are eligible.
A native of Lexington, Ky., he helped the Eagles claim the 1999 OVC Men’s Golf Championship with an All-Tournament performance. Teater turned pro after finishing his MSU career in 2001.
