MSU releases Men's and Women's Tennis schedules

MOREHEAD, Ky. - Sixteen home tennis matches, plus a trip to Orlando, highlight the 2010 Spring schedule for the Morehead State men's and women's programs.

Kevin Fulton is in his fifth season leading both programs. He is assisted by Damar Johnson.

The regular season begins for the women's squad on Jan. 17 in Louisville where MSU will face the Cardinals and Bowling Green. The men's team will begin on Jan. 22 in Indianapolis, Ind., against IUPUI.

The women's home opener is scheduled for Feb. 17 against Xavier University, while the men kick off the home season on Jan. 30 against the University of the Cumberlands.

The women will also host IUPUI (Feb. 26) and Florida Gulf Coast (March 15) in non-conference action. OVC opponents slated to visit Sadler Courts are Tennessee State (March 19), Murray State (March 23), Southeast Missouri (March 27) and Tennessee Tech (April 6).

The men have six non-conference home matches on tap. Western Kentucky (Jan. 31), Union College (Feb. 8), Southern Indiana (Feb. 20), West Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 27) and Vincennes University (Feb. 27) will visit Morehead. MSU also hosts Murray State (March 20), Eastern Illinois (March 28) and Tennessee Tech (April 6) in OVC matches.

Both teams will travel to Orlando, Fla., over spring break on March 16-18. The men will battle Jacksonville University and Fairleigh Dickinson, while the women play FDU, Marist and North Dakota.

Road contests will feature matches at Cincinnati, Illinois State, Ball State, Marshall, and Southern Illinois for the women and Kentucky, Xavier, SIU and Indiana University for the men.

The OVC Championships begin April 16th in Paducah, Ky., and MSU will serve as the host school for this year's event.
