MARCH 5 — MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State soccer coach Warren Lipka has announced the signing of six recruits for the 2010 season. Holley Tilley (F, Columbus, Ohio), Alex Pacitto (D, Macomb, Mich.), Lindsey Oettle (MF/D, St. Louis, Mo.), Meghan Klyczek (MF/D, Louisville, Ky.), Angela Dicristofaro (MF, New Baltimore, Mich.), and Brittany Blaska (MF, Eisenhower, Mich.) have all signed letters of intent to join the MSU soccer family.
“I think this class has a huge opportunity to make an immediate impact,” commented Lipka. “It’s our first full recruiting class and each player will bring a different aspect to the game. This class will allow our program to continue to develop.”
Tilley is a forward and was the captain of her Walnut Ridge High School Squad. Tilley was also named to the All-City League South Division First Team in 2009.
Pacitto comes to MSU after leading her high school and club teams to titles at numerous levels of competition. With Pacitto anchoring the back line Eisenhower High School team won the district and regional championships in 2009 and qualified for the state finals. Pacitto’s Michigan Gators FC 92 club team was also crowned champions of numerous tournaments and competitions.
A teammate of Pacitto, Blaska was also a key cog to Eisenhower High School and Michigan Gator FC. The midfielder helped lead Eisenhower to 2009 district and regional championships and was key to Michigan Gators FC success as well.
Dicristofaro was an all-district performer at Anchor Bay High School. Dicristofaro, who also played her club ball for Michigan Gators FC, is also a standout in the classroom and was named to the National Honor Society.
Oettle was a standout midfielder at Lindbergh High School, the alma mater of Lipka. Oettle, a four sport athlete at LHS, played her club ball for SLSG United, a team that was a semifinalist in the Missouri State Cup. Oettle also led her high school team to the 2009 district title.
Klyczek was a four-year starter and two-year captain at North Oldham High School. Klyczek was named the team MVP her final two seasons and was named First-Team All-State after her senior season. Klyczek played her club ball for Javanon Soccer Club.
MSU is coming off its first Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship in program history and also had the best winning percentage in school history in 2009.
