Morehead State head women’s basketball coach Mike Bradbury has had his contract with the university renewed through 2013. MSU Director of Athletics Brian Hutchinson announced the renewal this week.
“Mike accepted a challenge three seasons ago that was a little daunting. Through great recruiting, coaching, and program management, we are positioned to continue our success in the OVC and Mike is the right person leading our women’s basketball team.” said Hutchinson.
Bradbury took over the program in 2007-08, and in his second season he led the Eagles to a 17-14 record and the third highest win total since 1984-85. The Eagles also finished 11-7 in the OVC and hosted a first-round OVC Tournament game.
This season, MSU is currently leading the OVC with a 6-3 overall and a 2-0 league record.
Bradbury’s teams have led the conference and the nation the last two years in three-pointers attempted and have ranked in the top five in the nation in three-pointers made per game during the last two seasons as well. MSU also has led the conference in rebounding each of the last two years.
