Two Morehead State rifle athletes were honored with Ohio Valley Conference monthly awards. Elizabeth Lyon and Kevin Mulligan were named OVC Rifle Athletes of the Month for Air Rifle and Smallbore respectively. Lyon and Mulligan helped Morehead State gather wins over Virginia Military Institute and Tennessee Tech recently.
Lyon took first-place in both the Tennessee Tech and VMI matches. She fired a 578 at VMI and followed that up with a 575 at home against Tennessee Tech. Mulligan fired a 572 at VMI to earn first place while finishing second at home against Tennessee Tech with a 566.
