Former MSU instructor Marvin J. Philips dies

Aug. 10, 2012 — Former Morehead State University instructor Marvin J. Philips passed away Aug. 6.

Philips taught speech and theatre during his tenure at MSU.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Emmit) Philips. Also surviving are children, Victoria Meyer, Norman (Millie) Philips, Audrey (Brian) Cunningham and Nadine (Eric) Hale; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, August, 10, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, Ind.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at the funeral center. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Condolences to the family may be sent to the funeral center.
