Sept. 12, 2012 — Morehead State University’s East Kentucky Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Paintsville will host a series of QuickBooks workshops.
The center will host four workshops during two days which will cater to different individuals with different needs.
The first workshop will be held Sept. 27, 1-4 p.m. and is titled “Basic QuickBooks.” This session will teach QuickBooks fundamentals to get you started. Basic computer knowledge is required as this is a hands-on computer based class.
The second session of the day which will be held from 5-8 p.m. is “Intermediate QuickBooks.” The session will take the intermediate QuickBooks user to the next level.
Topics will include reports, customers, care center, inventory and invoicing.
The second day (Sept. 28) will begin with a QuickBooks Lab from 9 a.m. to noon. During lab time, business owners will work on their own laptops and QuickBooks programs. The certified QuickBooks instructor will work with each participant on their particular challenges.
The workshop will conclude with a QuickBooks session dedicated to payroll. The session, will be from 1-3 p.m., will address questions related to payroll, input, checks, processions, reports, taxes and end-of-year reports.
Each session is $25 per person and must be paid when registering. There is very limited seating and requires prior registration.
