MSU mourns the loss of Michael Frances Padula

June 13, 2012 — Michael Frances Padula, age 53, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, June 10. He was MSU Farm Maintenance Supervisor at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex for 25 years.

Born June 3, 1959, in Newark, New Jersey, he is the son of Marlene Valask Padula of Morehead and James Victor Padula, Sr.

In addition to his mother, Padula is survived by one brother, James “Jay” Padula and Lydia of Morehead, three sisters, Michele Coston of Indianapolis, Ind.; Jacquelyn Caudill and Danny of Morehead, and Karyn Krueger and John of Johnson City, Tenn.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Interment will follow in the Caudill Cemetery on Sharkey Road.

Visitation was from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Morehead State University Foundation, Inc., Michael Padula Memorial Fund, Palmer Development House, Morehead, KY 40351. Donations will be used to support students at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex (MSU Farm).
