Morehead State University’s Dr. Michelle Kunz, associate professor of marketing, was part of the Business Editorial Board that captured a 2011 Editorial Board House Cup given by Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT).
The MERLOT House Cup is an award to recognize the level of contributions made to the MERLOT collection during an academic year. Contributions include Materials Triaged, Individual Peer Reviews, Composite Peer Reviews, Member Comments and Learning Materials contributed to the collection.
The award was passed to new winners at the MERLOT/Sloan-C Emerging Technologies Conference held in San Jose, Calif., in July.
Editorial Board Members will take turns displaying the award in their offices. Besides Dr. Kunz other winners are: Theresa Clark, James Madison University; Patty Feller, Nashville State Community College; Jackie Gilbert, Middle Tennessee University; Susan Moncada, Indiana State University; Ron Purser, San Francisco State University; Bob Sproule, University of Waterloo; and Cathy Swift, California State University.
MERLOT is an international initiative enabling faculty to integrate technology into higher education. It is an online community of faculty and institutions collaborating to increase the quantity of high quality, Web-based interactive teaching and learning materials.
MERLOT conducts the peer review of online materials and ensures reliable and valid reviews through the selection and training of the editorial board members as well as ongoing support for the review process. The MERLOT community offers additional services to both instructors and students that help improve the learning process.

Campuses confer more than 61K degrees, credentials in 2012-13
Officials at Kentucky’s public and independent colleges and universities estimate that they have conferred 61,472 degrees and credentials during the 2012‐13 academic year, with historic levels continuing at the associate, baccalaureate, master’s and professional practice doctoral levels.
