Oct. 24, 2012 — Morehead State University will crown its 2012 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime ceremonies of the football game, which begins at 1 p.m. in Jayne Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The winners will be named from the five candidates competing for each title.
Among the nominees for Homecoming queen are:
Susan Ahmadi of Morehead is the daughter Ali and Dora Ahmadi. A senior Spanish and pre-law major, she is sponsored by Kappa Delta.
Autumn Baker of Bethel, Ohio, is the daughter of Duke and Tammy Baker. A senior government major, she is sponsored by Delta Chi Xi.
Shayna LaRae Birchfield of Olive Hill is the daughter of Eddie and Falissa Birchfield. A senior exercise science/pre-physical therapy major, she is sponsored by Chi Omega.
Alison Ishmael of Springboro, Ohio, is the daughter of Roger and Terri Ishmael. A junior early elementary P-5 education major, she is sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi.
Jerica Kelso of Louisville is the daughter of Eric and Jackie Kelso. A senior accounting major, she is sponsored by the Student Programming Board.
Nominees for Homecoming king are:
Andrew Abbott of Hazard is the son of Anna and Bobby Abbott. A junior engineering technology major, he is sponsored by Delta Gamma.
David Gillum of Sandy Hook is the son of David and Tammi Gillum. A senior communications major, he is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Cody W. Hart of Tipp City, Ohio, is the son of Jeff and Kriss Hart and Matt and Angie Tmon. A senior marketing major, he is sponsored by Gamma Phi Beta.
Drew Kelly of Franklin, Tenn., is the son of Brian and Gloria Kelly. A junior engineering design major, he is sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.
Eli Mann of Demossville is the son of David and Sarah Mann. A senior agri-business major, he is sponsored by the Future Farmers of America.
