Linda Lois Tackett Adkins
1949-2009


MOREHEAD – Linda Lois Tackett Adkins, age 59, of McCullough Court, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009, at her residence.

She was born January 3, 1949, in Clark County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ernest Arlie Tackett and Lois Johnson Tackett Watson.

Linda is survived by one daughter, Samantha Gibson and her husband John of Greenup, Kentucky; one grandson, Jamie Gibson; one brother, Jimmy Watson of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Leann Tackett of Morehead, Kentucky; five aunts, Betty Wages and Patty Cox, both of Morehead, Kentucky, Jane Collins of Cleveland, Tennessee, Lillian Aarand of Sterling Heights, Michigan and Helen Jessee of Lincoln Park, Michigan; two uncles, Johnny Johnson of Evansville, Indiana, and Bud Tackett of Greenville, Ohio.

She was also preceded in death by nine aunts and uncles, Treda Day, Hildreth Johnson, Bernard Johnson, Tom Johnson, Jr., Elmer Tackett, Billy Tackett, Forrest Tackett, Don Tackett and Milton Tackett.

Linda attended Morehead State University. She was a beautician for 20 years and retired from Rowan County E.M.S. as an E.M.T in 2001. She was a former volunteer with the Rowan County Rescue Squad, was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Keeton officiating. Burial was in the Clay Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky.

Pallbearers were Bruce Wages, Paul Cox. Richie Johnson, Tommy Collins, Robert Goldy, Ronnie Goldy, Gary Pennington, and James Gibson.

Visitation was after 4 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Pauline Stevens Williams Colegrove
1932-2008


GRAYSON – Pauline Stevens Williams Colegrove, age 76, of Smith Branch, Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.

She was born June 4, 1932, in Carter County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Roy and Mable Binion Stevens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Billy Stevens, and one sister, Christine Barker.

Her first husband, Billy Williams, passed away October 12, 1961, and her second husband, James Ellis Colegrove, on February 8, 1989.

Mrs. Colegrove is survived by two sons, Billy G. Williams and wife Bonnie and Michael W. Williams and wife Freda, all of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Smith and husband Doyle of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one sister, Wanda Smith of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Philip Roe, Travis Roe, Kevin Williams, and Kyle Williams; and four great grandchildren, Paige Roe, Laryn Roe, Hadyn Roe, and Haley Roe.

Mrs. Colegrove retired from Carter Caves State Park and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Dewayne Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Newell Hill Cemetery at Grahn, Kentucky.

Pallbearers were Travis Roe, Kyle Williams, Stephen Phillips, Jonathan Carroll, Johnny Smith, and Wayne Roe.

Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Williams and Philip Roe.

Visitation for Pauline Stevens Williams Colegrove was Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Savannah Jo Kissick
1986-2008


MOREHEAD – Savannah Jo Kissick, age 22, of KY 801 North, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born November 7, 1986, in Morehead, she is survived by her father and stepmother, Sam and Lynn McKenzie Kissick of Clearfield; her mother, Sandi Perkins Hamilton of Morehead; one daughter, Mallorie Jo Hunt of Salt Lick; one brother, Justin Hamilton of Morehead; and two sisters, Tierra Blevins and Makenzie Kissick, both of Morehead; and one niece, Alexandria Blevins.

Other survivors include maternal grandparents Robert and Pauline Brown Perkins of Morehead and paternal grandparents, Blane and Regina Burton Kissick of Morehead.

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Ross and the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sam Kissick, Mike Tackett, Rodney Perkins, Phillip Perkins, David Johnson, Josh Trent, Joe Carter, and Tim Copher.

Visitation was after 5 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
