Tony B. Johnson
Tony B. Johnson, age 73 of New Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009. Tony was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He retired from Delphi after many years of service and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a loyal and active member of the New Lebanon First Baptist Church. Tony truly loved his church family and will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline “Pat” Johnson, of 28 years; his parents; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters. Tony is survived by his brother Damon (Wilma) Johnson; sister-in-law Madelene Johnson; cousin Jewel Wadkins; daughters, Joy Johnson, Sandy (Jim) George, Silvia (Terry) Seagraves, and Carol (Karl) Hoffer; grandchildren, Becca (Tony), Danny, Jessy, Terilynn (Bruce), Michael, Debbie, Joe (Angie), and Tom (Elaine); great-grandchildren, Dalton, Josh, Jamie, Jenny, Erica, Justin, Brandon, Brittany, Jacob, Brett, Melanie, Alex, and Luke; and great-great-grandchild, Brynlee; and many more friends and family members. Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON, 324 W. Main St. with Pastor Jim Whorton officiating. Interment will follow at Willow View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Carmie Baker Mabry
1943-2009
MOREHEAD – Carmie Baker Mabry, age 65, of Second Street, Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born June 9, 1943, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Carrie King Baker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Baker and Charles Baker, and two sisters, Belle Fraley and Cora Lee Wood.
Her husband, Ellis Lee Mabry, passed away February 26, 2001.
Mrs. Mabry is survived by one daughter, Tonya Marie Barcroft and husband Keith of Greenwich, Ohio; one son, Timothy Lee Mabry and his wife Tracy of Mansfield, Ohio; four granddaughters, Amanda Mabry, Taylor Barcroft, Brooke Johnson, and Tauri Johnson; one grandson, Austin Barcroft; and one great granddaughter, Lilee Shifflett.
Other survivors include four sisters, Faye Mabry of Springfield, Ohio, Jewell Meenach of Lancaster, Ohio, Mary Hamlin of Corbin, Kentucky, and Jean Adkins of Morehead, Kentucky; and one brother, Kenneth Baker of Morehead, Kentucky.
Mrs. Mabry was a homemaker. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Carmie was also an avid collector of apple décor items. She attended the Hanna Road Church of God in Mansfield.
Funeral services will be conducted1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Scaggs and the Rev. Austin Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Mabry Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Rick Baker, Kevin Baker, C. J. Baker, Brian Dillon, Versel Dillon, Randy Holbrook, and Danny Meenach.
Visitation is after 3 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Nola Sorrell
1927-2009
OHIO - Nola Faye Sorrell, age 81, of Russellville, Ohio passed away Friday, January, 16, 2009 at The Brown County Hospital, Georgetown, Ohio. She was born in Elliott County, Ky. Dec. 30, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Hosanna (Holbrook) Parish. She is also preceded in death by 2 brothers Dee and Arthur Parish and 1 sister Freda Thompson. She was a homemaker, member of the Russellville United Methodist Church and a member of The Russellville American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Eugene Sorrell, Son and Daughter-in-Law Robert and Melissa Sorrell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Granddaughter Megan Lynn Sorrell of Amarillo, Texas, and 2 sisters, Christine Royse and Treda Vise of Hillsboro, Ky.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Meeker Funeral Home, Russellville Ohio. Jaime Wirth will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Ash Ridge Cemetery. Marie Walton
1921-2009
SALT LICK - Mrs. Marie Walton, 87, of 1553 Moores Ferry Road, Salt Lick, passed away Thursday evening, January 15, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Walton was born August 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Staton Donathan. She was the widow of the late Paul Walton and was a homemaker and member of the Morehead First Church Of God.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jimmie Walton and his wife Jeanette of Salt Lick and Glenn Walton and his wife Xenia of Frankfort, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Elena Hart and her husband Shane and daughters Kireston and Breanna of Columbus, OH, Glenna Hackensmith and her husband Michael and their daughter and son, Kaylee Marie and Koleman of Frankfort, Tanya Walton of Frankfort and Ann Marie Walton of Salt Lick, and 2 special care givers, Callie Sue Bonta and Brenda Hunt both of Salt Lick. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Cora Donathan and 5 brothers, Edward Donathan, Lonnie Donathan, Clyde Donathan, Mason Donathan and Russell Donathan.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday January 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Morehead First Church Of God with Rev. Allan Hutchinson officiating. Interment followed in the Kendall Springs Cemetery in Owingsville. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Swartz, Kevin Swartz, Roy Anderson, David Wells, Bobby Trent and Marty McCleese. Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick cared for arrangements.
