Denver Willis (Dee) Brown III

FLORIDA - Denver Willis (Dee) Brown III, age 40, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Farmers, Kentucky, passed away Monday evening, March 9, 2009, in Florida after an apparent heart attack.

Denver is survived by his mother, Sue Ann Curtis Brown of Farmers, Kentucky, and a sister, Sheryl Brown of Farmers, Kentucky.

Denver was a former editor and sports editor for The Morehead News and was currently a first mate for fishing charters in Englewood, Florida.

Pauline Helen McKenzie
1925-2009


WILLIAMSBURG - Pauline Helen McKenzie, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Tennessee. She was born on July 18, 1925 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late, Gaddice McKinney and Gertrude (Johnson) McKinney. She was 83 years, 7 months and 17 days of age. She was a member of Falls Junction Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Haskell McKenzie of Corbin, Kentucky; two sons, Terry McKenzie of Corbin, Kentucky and James McKenzie and his wife Mary Ann of Muncie, Indiana; a daughter, Jane Everhart and her husband Paul of Corbin, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Angie, Steve, Jamie, Jennifer, Teresa, Kelia and Kevin; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 6 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1-0 AM Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Ryan McCully officiating. There will be a Graveside Service at 2 PM Monday, March 9, 2009 at the New Alfrey Cemetery in Farmers, Kentucky.
