Mervell Barnett
1942-2008
Mansfield, OH - Mervell Barnett, age 65, of Mansfield, died early Wednesday morning November 19, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mr. Barnett was born November 28, 1942 in Morgan County, Kentucky. He was owner-operator of Barnett Asphalt & Paving. Mr. Barnett was a member of Shelby Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, boating, tinkering, and the outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Janet (Brown) Barnett; a son & daughter-in-law, Jerry (Jonna) Barnett of Mansfield; a daughter, Sue (Rod) Eddleblute of Mansfield; a step-son, Terry Green of Oak Harbor, Ohio; six grandchildren, Justin, Jerica, Jilian, Hannah, Bekah, and Stephen; five step-grandchildren, Terance, Thomas, A.J., Ryan, and Kaite; two great-grandchildren, A.J. & Kyle; three brothers, Arnold (Marcella) Barnett of Mansfield, Vernon John Barnett of Morehead Kentucky and James (Carmen) Barnett of Ocala, Florida; six sisters, Fearl Jean (Victor) Owens of Lucas, Ohio, Helen Peters of Denver, Colorado, Wanda Keeton of Brighton, Colorado, Shirley (Philip) Baldridge of Morehead, Kentucky, Brenda (Paul) Jones of Jamestown, Ohio, and Ruth (Terry) Coggins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Barbara Ellen (Webb) Barnett; his parents, Ernest and Eliza (Blair) Barnett; and a brother, Ernest C. Barnett, Jr.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Friday, November 21, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Rick Lewis. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh, Ohio.

Rufus H. Flannery
1922-2008
MOREHEAD – Rufus H. Flannery, 86, of Bull Fork Road, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on August 23, 1922, a son of the late Lonnie and Martha Alderson Flannery.
Mr. Flannery was a farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II and he was a member of the Siloam First Church of God. Rufus lived on the same farm, where he was born and raised, all of his life. He enjoyed bird hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Coldiron Flannery who passed away on December 23, 2007, six brothers, Ray Flannery, Delmar Flannery, Virgil Flannery, Leonard Flannery, Bertus Flannery and Woodrow Flannery and five sisters, Bessie Gilkison, Rose Carpenter, Gladys Lacy, Pruda Shay and Beulah Dillon.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Albert McCalvin and Dean Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery. Visitation is after 4:00 P.M. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be all his nephews.

Foy Middleton
1936-2008
SALT LICK - Foy Denver Middleton, 72, of 11083 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, passed away suddenly Saturday November 15 at his residence.
Born January 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Ora and Inez Staton Middleton and was a retired employee of A.O. Smith Corporation in Mt. Sterling.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Elam Middleton, 1 son, Ronald Middleton and his wife Angela Diane of Morehead, 1 granddaughter, Aeryn Gabrielle Diana Middleton, 1 sister, Meredith McFarland of Salt Lick and 1 brother, Lloyd Middleton and wife Dorothy of Gatlinburg, TN a sister in law, Carol Middleton of Ashville, NC and special friends Lloyd and Mildred Burnett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Fredith Middleton Runner in 2006 and 2 brothers, Coy Middleton in 2002 and Delano Middleton.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick with Rev. Mike Pennington officiating. Interment followed in the Carey Cemetery in Rowan County. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Carey Cemetery Association.
Virgil Herman Stegall
1924-2008
MOREHEAD - Virgil Herman Stegall, age 84, of Williams Branch, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008, at his residence.
Born March 4, 1924, at Big Stone, Kentucky, in Elliott County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Cora Wilson Stegall. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Daisy Sloan, Zona Sloan, and Elsa Hall; one brother, Curtis Stegall; and one son, Jeffrey Stegall.
His wife, Wilma Kelley Stegall, passed away on March 7, 2006.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Whittington of Dayton, Ohio, Rachel Sanford of Vandalia, Ohio, Shirley Jean Barr of Bellbrook, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Charlene Spencer of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two stepsons, Cameron Fraley of South Range, Wisconsin, and Mitchel Fraley of Paris, Kentucky; one brother, Clayton Stegall of Morehead, Kentucky, and one sister, Grace Slone of Georgetown, Kentucky.
Also surviving is a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virgil, a World War II Army veteran, was awarded the Purple Heart in 1944. He was a tradesman, farmer, carpenter, and mechanic.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kenny Binion officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery will full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

OHIO - Linda L. Wing, 65, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, November 17, 2008. She was born September 2, 1943 in Haldeman, Kentucky the daughter of the late John R. & Amanda E. (Whisman) Molton. She is survived by her children, David & Nancy Wing of Beavercreek, Ohio, Ceylon White of Huber Heights, Ohio, Lectra Lawhorne of Kennesaw, Georgia, Amanda Howerton of West Carrolton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Jacob, Linda, Phillip, & Tiffany; great grandson, Kamron; her sister, Helen Molton of Englewood, Ohio; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her four brothers, Harold J., Bill C., John Jr., & Franklin Molton. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.
