August 6, 2010 — Dorothy Jean Bolton Anderson

1936 – 2010


    MOREHEAD - Dorothy Jean Bolton Anderson, age 74, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

    Born May 29, 1936, in Habersham, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Mable Ayers Bolton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Bolton.

    Dorothy is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Noah Anderson, whom she wed March 5, 1955; one son, James Eugene Anderson of Wilmington, Ohio; one daughter, Marilyn Lynn Eldridge and husband Glen of Cincinnati, Ohio; one granddaughter, Megan Anderson; two grandsons, James Eric Oditt and his wife Lisa and Jeremy Shannon Oditt; and one great granddaughter, Madyson Duncan.

    Other survivors include one sister, Marie Reese of Morristown, Tennessee; five brothers, Junior Bolton of Habersham, Tennessee, L. C. Bolton and Frank Bolton, both of White Oak, Tennessee, and Jerry Bolton and Billy Bolton, both of LaFollette, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

    Dorothy was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Purvis Cemetery.

    Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Mary Ann Nickell

1971 – 2010


    MAYSLICK – Mary Ann Nickell, age 38, of Mayslick, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

    She was born October 12, 1971, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and is the daughter of Earnie and Ruth Helen Parsons Nickell of Mayslick, Kentucky. 

    In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Ernest Wayne Nickell of Mays lick, Kentucky; two sisters, Brenda Ritchie of Maysville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Phillips of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two nephews, Colby Lewis of Grayson, Kentucky, and Dalton Ritchie of Maysville, Kentucky; one niece, Cheyenne Ritchie of Maysville, Kentucky; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

    Mary Ann was a homemaker and former home health aide. She was a 1990 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School. Mary Ann’s dog, Rock-a-Bye, was also special to her.

    Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Scott Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    Pallbearers will be Kevin Stephens, Mike Clark, Jeff Clark, Mike Gregory, Colby Lewis, Ernest Wayne Nickell, and Glenn David Farley.

    Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
