5/31/12 — Ruby Mae Molton Roberts, age 82, of Crain Creek Road, Wallingford, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her residence.
Born March 5, 1930, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel Bates Molton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar and Earl Molton, and two sisters, Nell Lerch and Mina Kesecker.
Mae’s husband, Elbert “Bussie” Roberts, whom she married January 15, 1948, passed away January 3, 1992, and an infant daughter, Shirley Roberts, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Fannin and husband Eulas of Wallingford, and Bonnie Cooper and husband Darry of Hillsboro; two sons, Tom Roberts and wife Marie of Wallingford, and David Elbert Roberts and wife Leigh Ann of Carrollton; nine grandchildren, Misty Roberts, Lorrie Henderson, Morgan Roberts, Joseph Gemmer, Tracy O’Neill, Ron Fannin, Kelli Keller, Scott Fannin, and Cyndi Fields; seven great grandchildren, Kelly Black, Sierra Black, Brooklyn Fields, Madison Fields, Justin Fields, James- Perry Henderson, Alania Henderson; and one great-great granddaughter, Jaidalyn Black.
Other survivors include one brother, John Thomas Molton of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Nancy Beaty of Cave City, Arkansas; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Darry Cooper and Brother Eulas Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery in Fleming County.
Pallbearers: Ric Roberts, Johnny Newman, Jeff Harris, Jeff Weaver, Jim O’Neill, and Brent Fields.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
