08/13/2012 — Judith G. Perkins Matthews, 81, of Springfield, Ohio, a native of Rowan County, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at her residence following several months of failing health.
Born June 20, 1931, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Sibbie Cox Caskey.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. and Linda Perkins of Springfield, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Susan and Robert DiMichele of Franklin; two grandsons, Jon Everett (Melinda) Porter and Coty Alain DiMichele; great grandson, Houston DeCamp Porter and former spouse and friend, Cleo Perkins.
Judy retired as a case worker from the Clark County Department of Human Services following 16 years of service. She volunteered with the American Red Cross National Disaster Team for 6 years and later at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.
Visitation was 2 p.m. Monday, August 13, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with a graveside service following at 3 p.m. at the Crix Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
