Three arrested on meth charges

Feb. 6, 2012 — Three people have been arrested for allegedly having six one-step methamphetamine labs in a home in Bath County.

Kentucky State Police were notified Feb. 3 at 8:06 p.m. by Bath County Sheriff Tuffy Snedegar that he had received an anonymous tip about an active meth lab on US 60, just east of Owingsville.

After a search warrant was obtained, six one step methamphetamine labs and numerous precursors were discovered inside the residence. 

Three people were arrested at the scene. Alonzo D. Martin, 26, of Owingsville, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense (<2 grams methamphetamine), Unlawful Possession of meth precursor, first offense.

Stephanie Sandy, 52, of Owingsville, charged with, trafficking in controlled substance first offense, prescription controlled substance not in proper container first offense, possession controlled substance first degree first offense (drug unspecified), trafficking in controlled substance, second degree, first offense (>or=20 drug unspecified schedule 3), manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, unlawful possession of meth precursor, first offense and unlawful distribution of a meth precursor, first offense. 

Joe C. Jackson, 43, of Mt. Sterling, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense. 

All three are currently lodged at Montgomery County Detention Center.  The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Daniel Armstrong and Trooper Marti Burton.
